Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about preparing, mixing, and applying our adhesives.

All Substrates must be structurally sound, dry solid and stable. The substances must be clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint curing compounds, concrete sealers, loosely bonded topping, old adhesive residues and any other substances that may prevent or reduce adhesion. If the substrate contains these substances they must be mechanically removed. All substrates must be plumb and flat to tolerance in a plane. Imperfections and irregular (holes, voids, cracks depression etc.) must be covered & surface must be smooth before application otherwise it reduces the coverage.
Mix the adhesive with water until it reaches a creamy and plastic consistency. Avoid over mixing. Allow the mixture to slake for 5-10 minutes before use. Mix only the required quantity of adhesive for immediate use.
Apply adhesive with a flat side of the trowel ensuring good contact with the surface. Spread the adhesive uniformly and comb the adhesive with a notch trowel. For large tile spread adhesive onto the back of the tile. Press the tile firmly into position by twisting action. Press the tile gently with the help of wooden hammer to make uniform surface. Use tile spacers or tile levelling system to maintain consistent spacing between tiles. Clean the tile surface with wet cloth (before it dries).
Allow the adhesive to dry for the recommended time before grouting.
